Just a heads up, the Kuro anime aired in 2008 and the manga was only at the curry arc at that point in time.
So they didn’t leave stuff out, or change stuff just to annoy you. They followed the manga as far as they could and then gave the anime its own ending.
It isn’t the first series to do it, and it will not be the last.
